Founded in May 1988, SOMEF TUNISIE is an industrial company manufacturing electrical equipment for domestic use such as: switches, plugs, boxes.
During the first quarter of 2005 the company has branched out in manufacturing a whole range of circuit breaker.
Since its partnership agreement with AVE in 1994, the company has experienced significant development of all its activity. That partnership covers 3 aspects:

• Financial: Equity investment 
•  Industrial: License of manufacturing a wide range of electrical products
• Commercial: Representing all other ranges of products not manufactured locally.

For several years, SOMEF has embarked on developing its business by integrating new activities to its catalog such as:
Canalplast (molding, chutes), Bayer (raw material producer), BPT (home automation, intercom and videophone)
